Job summary

Under supervision of a staff therapist, you will participate in oxygen rounds, maintain medical gas supplies, perform EKG/monitoring tests, manage equipment, and administer respiratory therapies as needed to assist patient recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and enrollment in a respiratory program.
• Educational Permit issued by Missouri Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification is required; advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains department equipment and stocks medical supplies and gases.
• Performs equipment disinfection as directed by policy.
• Documents equipment function checks after cleaning and setup.
• Participates with the respiratory therapist in oxygen rounds and maintaining medical gas tanks.
• Conducts EKG, Holter Monitor, and Event Monitor testing according to policy.
• Administers respiratory therapies under the supervision of a staff therapist.
