Bethany Children’s Health Center in Bethany, OK is seeking a Respiratory Supervisor to coordinate daily clinical operations and provide clinical leadership across the respiratory care team on the night shift.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), at least 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in pediatrics, and be eligible to obtain RRT/CRT credentials within one year of hire, with current BLS and PALS certifications.

  • Oversees audit schedules and ensures compliance with documentation and regulatory standards. (15%)
  • Creates daily staff assignments and ensures safe coverage. (15%)
  • Completes incident reports and participates in quality improvement efforts. (15%)
  • Supports staff during high-acuity situations and clinical escalations. (10%)
  • Toubleshoots equipment issues and coordinates maintenance. (10%)
  • Supports staff performance, workflow consistency, and safe patient care. (5%)
  • Provides direct patient care and may be required to work the floor when staffing or acuity demands. (10%)

Job Purpose

The Respiratory Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily clinical operations, supporting staff performance, and ensuring safe and effective respiratory care delivery throughout the facility. This role provides leadership, oversight, and clinical guidance while maintaining a strong presence on patient care units.



Shift: Night Shift



Education

  • Associate's degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.


Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist; preferably in pediatrics.


License/Certification/Credential


  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensed by the Oklahoma Medical Board.

  • Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (Must be willing to and obtain Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credentials within 1 year of hire).

  • OR

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire

Scope: The Respiratory Supervisor provides daily clinical and operational oversight for the respiratory therapy team, including managing staffing assignments and supporting schedule coordination. This role offers real-time coaching related to attendance, professionalism, and patient safety, escalating concerns to management as needed. While not responsible for hiring, terminations, or annual evaluations, the Supervisor serves as a frontline leader who supports staff performance, workflow consistency, and safe patient care.
