Qualifications

• Active, valid, Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license.
• Minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs.
• Complete the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program or ability to complete
• Ability to manage supply inventory
• Utilize Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Access database
• The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work autonomously within a collaborative and dynamic faculty group
• Idaho State CTE teaching certification or ability to obtain within 3 years

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Respiratory Therapy program.
• Provide effective leadership for the program, including communication, planning and assessment, and fiscal management.
• Coordinate clinical education with didactic and laboratory activities to meet program outcomes.
• Manage all clinical lab functions, including inventory management and setup for all lab sessions; teach didactic and lab courses as needed.
• Plan, budget, and assist in selecting adjunct faculty and staff for the program.
• Maintain CoARC Respiratory Therapy accreditation and professional development requirements.
• Coordinate the schedule of program offerings and participate in the Advisory Committee.
• Support recruitment and retention of students.
