Job summary

Concorde is seeking a Program Director for Respiratory Therapy in California. You lead faculty, ensure instructional quality, and foster clinical partnerships while guiding student success and program accreditation.

Your role includes budgeting, curriculum development, and active involvement in the professional community. You will mentor faculty, oversee scheduling and assessments, participate in graduation activities, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years clinical experience as an RRT.
• Two years’ experience in a CoArc accredited program as an educator or clinical preceptor.
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree.
• Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential.
• Must hold a current state license.

Responsibilities

• Set the example and be the role model for professionalism and conduct for program staff and students.
• Ensure academic quality of the instruction provided to the students.
• Participate in student, campus, and community activities as required.
• Actively participate in the local professional community to raise awareness of Concorde, enhance student opportunity, and build the professional network.
• Responsible for recruiting, training, orienting, and supervising faculty members for the department.
• Ensure faculty are providing active and engaging learning experiences to students within a respectful environment that is conducive to learning, and focused on student satisfaction and positive results.
• Participate in and document ongoing faculty and professional development activities including any CEUs...
• Adhere to Concorde policies and accreditor standards
• Ensure the safety of the department meets legal and regulatory guidelines and standards of the program
• Conduct and document regular department staff/faculty meetings
• Assist in curriculum development and surveys
• Provide regular performance feedback and coaching
• Advise, coach and mentor students as appropriate
• Provide support to ensure programmatic and institutional completion, licensure and placement outcomes
• Ensure compliance with accrediting requirements and visits
• Review scheduling for courses, students, and faculty
• Assist with graduation and attend as requested
• Teach classes as needed and permitted by accreditor
• Assist with student orientations
• Participate in budgeting and procurement to meet program needs
• Review Satisfactory Academic Progress processes and grade audits
• Perform other duties as assigned
