The position requires a NY State Respiratory Therapy license, RRT credential, and at least 5 years of acute care experience. BLS is mandatory; ACLS/NRP/PALS within 3 months. Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Must hold a NY Respiratory Therapy license.
• Must be credentialed as an RRT.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of all respiratory therapists across shifts.
• Support Medical Director related to respiratory department responsibilities.
• Develop, review and revise clinical and technical competencies.
• Participate in care protocols, policies, and standard of care guidelines.
• Interview and hiring recommendations with Technical Director.
