Job summary

Dameron Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Manager to organize and lead the Cardio-Pulmonary Department in compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and state/local requirements.

The role oversees quality assurance, infection control, staff in-services, and payroll, while ensuring adequate budgeting and staffing. English proficiency and NBRC credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Credentialed by the NBRC as a CRT or RRT.
• Current license by the State Board of Respiratory Care Examiner.
• Minimum of three years management experience in respiratory care, preferably in a LTACH.
• Requires effective management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Job description

The Respiratory Manager organizes, leads, manages, and coordinates the activities of the Cardio-Pulmonary Department. He/She carries out policies and procedures consistent with JCAHO, OSHA, and state and local requirements. Responsibilities also include quality assurance, safety, infection control, overseeing blood gas lab, in-service for staff, ensures adequate budgeting and staffing is met, attends, contributes and participates in all committees as assigned by administration, as well as the management of employees and payroll for the cardiopulmonary department.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Credentialed by the NBRC as a CRT or RRT

Current license by the State Board of Respiratory Care Examiner
