Rochester Regional Health at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY, seeks a Lead Respiratory Therapist to oversee daily staff guidance, shift leadership, and quality of care within the Respiratory Therapy department.

The role emphasizes staffing, training, equipment readiness, and coordination with interprofessional teams, with opportunities to lead education, participate in outcomes assessment, and contribute to clinical research as appropriate.

Formación

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience in Respiratory Care.
• New York State Respiratory Therapist license with current registration.
• Current NBRC RRT credential is required for all Respiratory Therapist entering the field after 9/1993.
• ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs all duties of the charge therapist if assigned, including leading shift huddle, insuring adequate equipment and supplies, monitoring and adjusting staffing levels, problem solving and troubleshooting, assisting other staff, and documentation of all department activities during the assigned shift.
• Identifies problem situations or issues in patient care.
• Analyzes, interprets, advises, and consults with staff and other health care professionals to provide high quality care.
• Interprets and modifies the system of patient care delivered by evaluating and reviewing standard practices and initiating new procedures.
• Provides consultation and guidance to all levels of the respiratory care and nursing staff.
