Saint Francis Hospital invites applications for a Respiratory Educator (RE) to advance education, competency, and professional growth within the respiratory care team. The educator develops innovative learning approaches, coordinates orientation, competency and in-service programs, and implements continuing education based on needs assessments while mentoring staff to improve performance.

Formación

• Requires an Associate's degree in respiratory therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in all aspects of Respiratory Care.
• NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required.
• Demonstrated project management experience required.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develops innovative learning approaches for orientation, competency, and in-service programs.
• Creates and implements continuing education based on needs assessment.
• Provides education/training on new equipment and validates staff use.
• Participates in development of respiratory policies/procedures.
• Collaborates with hospital-based education specialist for organizational needs.
• Mentors team members to focus on professional growth and development.
• During times of no scheduled education and training, may perform normal duties as a staff RT.
