Job summary

Mercy Education Coordinator in Respiratory Therapy provides comprehensive clerical, administrative, and operational support within the department, coordinating communications, staff training, scheduling, charge entry, payroll support, and productivity monitoring.

You will work with physicians, clinical staff, and patients to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service, with responsibilities spanning EPIC charge entry, denials, and credentialing-related tasks, while maintaining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Coursework in clerical or administrative skills required.
• Minimum of two years in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting required.
• Typing proficiency required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties including: answering and directing telephone calls, appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, medical transcription, billing support, filing and records management, and office supply inventory management.
• Assist with unit operational tasks and departmental projects; maintain confidential records and reports.
• Lead staff training in front desk operations; oversee scheduling, data entry, and payroll support; monitor volunteer activities.
