Job summary

Creekside Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to lead the Respiratory Therapy department in a rehab setting. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, staff development, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.

You will ensure quality care, accurate documentation, and compliance with facility policies while contributing to census growth and program development.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy; valid state license.
• Experience in rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains systems to enhance the facility's reputation for respiratory therapy.
• Oversee compliance with policies, documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in census development and marketing of Respiratory Therapy services.
• Support staff development, ongoing training and continuing education.
• Build relationships with physicians, staff, and referral sources.
• Provide patient treatments per clinical procedures and plan.
• Ensure accurate documentation and coding for respiratory services.
• Demonstrate safe working practices and maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with the rehab team and discharge planners as needed.
