Job Overview

The Respiratory Therapy Assistant supports respiratory care services for patients with disordered respiratory physiology under the supervision of a registered respiratory therapist. Responsibilities include delivering oxygen devices, monitoring patients, assisting with equipment setup and cleaning, and supporting department communications and data management. The role may also involve assisting in the Bronchoscopy Suite and performing CPR as part of the hospital Code 250 team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with acute care experience.
• CPR certified and able to perform CPR.
• Good verbal and communication skills, manual dexterity, and ability to differentiate medical gases.
• Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology.

Additional Details

• Exemption Status: Nonexempt
• Compensation: $21.69 - $30.60/hour
• Schedule: Part Time, 48 hours/pay period, 7p-7a, rotating holidays
