The Respiratory Therapy Assistant provides support for respiratory care services for the treatment of patients with disordered respiratory physiology under the direction of a registered respiratory therapist. The assistant delivers varied oxygen devices on a timely basis, performs hospital‑wide rounds to monitor and provide service to patients using respiratory support devices, supports respiratory therapists, nurses, and physicians with their equipment/supplies needs, work lists, and workload data throughout the Mayo complex, serves in the department communications center, and provides information management and data entry for department billing, QA database, and research studies. Members of the hospital Code Bue team, performing CPR as required.
