Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform specialized respiratory therapy services as directed by provider orders and in line with hospital protocols.

Requirements include NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapy training; Arizona license, BLS/ACLS, and RRT credential by hire or within the specified period. Hospital experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

To perform specialized respiratory therapy services as directed by provider orders and in accordance with protocols, policies, and procedures established by the hospital.

Qualifications

Successful completion of a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) approved Respiratory Therapy program.

Additional Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Should be familiar with The Joint Commission standards and requirements.
• Understanding of computers.

License/Certification

• National Board for Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must be maintained throughout duration of employment.
• Required to have an Arizona Respiratory license prior to their first day of employment.
• Respiratory Therapists are required to maintain Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or the equivalent as determined by the site of hire.

Nights; 1800-0630, 3 x 12-hour shifts a week. Holiday Requirement: 3 major holidays a year. Holidays rotate annually.
