The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide in-home care for patients with respiratory conditions in Florida. You will assess, treat, and monitor patients, delivering therapies and educating families to improve quality of life.

The ideal candidate holds a valid RT license (RRT/CRT), enjoys working independently, and can travel to patients' homes while maintaining meticulous records and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license and CRT/RRT certification.
• Experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases, treatments, and equipment.
• Ability to travel to patients' homes and manage multiple cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to assess and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies (oxygen, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP).
• Educate patients and families about proper respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with physicians and other providers.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of respiratory equipment.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary.

Requirements

• Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license and certification (RRT or CRT).
• Previous experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy is preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases, treatments, and medical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients' homes.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings, as needed.
