Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist at Oak Forest Health & Rehab Center to collaborate with nurses and physicians in patient care. The role involves setting up and monitoring oxygen equipment, providing therapies, and contributing to treatment planning.

Responsibilities include assessing new admissions, managing ventilator care, documenting in EMR, and educating patients and staff on cardiopulmonary issues and inhalation therapies.

Qualifications

• Must have a college degree from an AMA approved respiratory therapy program.
• Must have a valid license from the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board.
• Must read, know and follow facility policies and procedures and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
• Must have Long Term Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Works as a team with nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals in the facility to manage patient care.
• Sets up and monitors oxygen equipment including CPAP and BiPAP for cardiopulmonary patients; maintains and orders supplies.
• Provides respiratory care and therapies to patients with orders.
• Assesses patients newly admitted or referred to respiratory services for appropriate respirator care and therapies.
• Manages and supports residents on ventilator care and monitors physiological responses to therapy.
