Job summary

Brockton Post Acute and Briarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time role. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans with the care team, and manage respiratory therapies across the resident population.

Qualifications

• RRT credential from NBRC is required.
• Current state licensure is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in SNF, LTACH, or hospital.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage residents and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations.
• Consult with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to tailor treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing including spirometry and blood gas evaluation.
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosols, and chest therapies.
• Manage ventilator-dependent residents and initiate ventilator support as needed.
• Monitor respiratory status and ensure proper equipment function.
• Educate residents and families on treatments and equipment use.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress.
