Job summary

North End Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide skilled assessment, treatment, and education across the care continuum for residents with complex pulmonary needs. This role supports a 100-bed sub-acute, long-term care environment and collaborates with physicians and an interdisciplinary team.

The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN options with shifts from 7 AM–7 PM and 7 PM–7 AM, and an hourly rate of $40–$48.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC required.
• Current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in SNF/LTACH or hospital setting required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents, families and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for a diverse resident population.
• Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing including lung capacity measurements and blood gas evaluation.
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosols and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage ventilator-dependent residents and initiate ventilator support when necessary.
• Monitor residents' respiratory status and ensure proper function of equipment.
• Educate residents and families on treatments, equipment use and medications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress.
