Job Overview

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank in Minneapolis, MN. We’re offering an $11,250 sign-on bonus!

Department Details

The Respiratory Therapy department at UMMC East Bank is dynamic and growing, with approximately 70 staff members. As part of a large, integrated, academic healthcare system, the Respiratory Therapist (RT) plays a vital role in patient care and is an essential member of the intra-professional team.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician.
• Follow defined treatment protocols according to department policies.
• Assess, interpret, and intervene in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Ensure patient safety and welfare during treatments.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a 0.75 FTE position (60 hours every two weeks), with 12-hour night shifts and a rotation including every third weekend.

Shift Differential Incentives:

• $4.00/hr for nights
• $2.00/hr for weekends

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.

Compensation Range

$40.77 - $58.89 per hour
