Fairview Health Services is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. We’re offering a $11,250 sign-on bonus!

Respiratory Therapy at UMMC East Bank is a dynamic, growing department with approximately 70 staff members. As part of a large, integrated, academic healthcare system, the Respiratory Therapist (RT) plays a vital role in patient care and is an essential member of the intra-professional team.

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician, following department policies and treatment protocols. The RT assesses, interprets, and intervenes in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring patient safety and welfare during treatments.

Schedule:

This position is 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks), with 12-hour night shifts and a rotation every third weekend.

Shift Differential Incentives:
  • $4.00/hr for nights
  • $2.00/hr for weekends

  • Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.
  • Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC (must be obtained within 6 months for new graduates).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.

Hourly rate: $40.77 - $58.89
