Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a temporary 13-week assignment in Huntsville, AL. The role spans critical care areas, step-down and transports with night shifts from 7p to 7a and a minimum of 48 hours per week, rotating weekends.

This assignment offers a limited benefit plan (HDHP) and eligibility for shift differential. Requires HS/GED, Alabama license and NBRC registration; minimum 1 year experience; BLS and ACLS if applicable.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required; licensed by Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy and NBRC registered.
• Minimum of 1 year experience.
• BLS required before orientation; ACLS if applicable to unit.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in critical care, step-down, general care and during transports.
• Support and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in intensive care settings.
• Rotating night shifts (7pm–7am) with a minimum 48 hours per week and rotating weekends.

Overview

**This is a temporary experienced RT assignment**

This position represents patient care directed toward critical care areas, step down areas, general care areas and critical care transports.

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (renewable once for a total of 26 weeks)

Assignment Type: Temp with Full Time hours

Assignment Shifts: 7p-7a, minimum of 48 hours per week for 13 weeks / rotating weekends; Eligible for shift differential

Assignment Benefits: Limited benefit plan (High Deductible Health Plan ONLY)

Qualifications

Education: HS/GED Required. Applicants must be licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy and must be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience

Additional Skill/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. ACLS required if applicable to specific unit.
