GENERAL OVERVIEW
Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies under licensed medical direction.

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (45%)
• Completes documentation required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness, such as charting, billing, IPOC, and patient/family education. (20%)
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%)
• Provides instruction to patients and other healthcare team members as needed. (5%)
• Completes charge duties and special projects as assigned. (10%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
• Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (CRT).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• At least 4 years of hospital clinical experience, including recent adult and neonatal respiratory care.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
