Job Overview

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) Specialist provides family-centered care by recognizing the patient, family, and/or designee as full partners in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient’s preferences, values, and needs. The RT Specialist also plays an active role in clinical education of patients, families, and staff; functions as a role model within respiratory and inter-professional teams; and fosters open communication, mutual respect, teamwork, and shared decision-making to ensure quality patient care.

This position is eligible for relocation assistance if relocating from 100 miles or greater.

Pay Range: $34.77 - $52.16/hr.

Hours per week: Full-time and part-time schedules available. Please specify your preference in the application questions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy/Care required at hire; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years delivering respiratory care, including 1 year pediatric experience.
• Certifications: RRT by NBRC required; CPFT or RPFT within 1 year in outpatient pulmonary labs; BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP within 90 days of hire; RRT-NPS preferred.
• Licensure: Colorado Respiratory Therapist license.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting education and acting as a clinical resource.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements: Ability to perform essential functions, including frequent standing/walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and exposure to blood, infectious diseases, and lung irritants.
