Job summary

Gundersen Health System’s Respiratory Care Team is seeking a dedicated therapist to work autonomously while collaborating across departments to improve patient health.

You will assess the patient’s cardiopulmonary status, develop, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans, and address the education needs of patients and families in outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Wisconsin.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT, within 2 years of hire).
• Current Infant‑Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously while collaborating across departments to improve patient health.
• Assess the patient’s cardiopulmonary status to develop, revise, implement, and evaluate a respiratory care plan.
• Identify and address the special needs, education, and training of patients and families in outpatient settings.
