Job summary

Big Bend Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time position with flexible / set schedule options in Texas. The role includes assessing patients, planning and delivering respiratory therapies, and collaborating with physicians and care teams. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 applies with an 18-month commitment.

Requires an Associate's degree, Texas RCP license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification; NRP preferred. Pediatric/neonatal experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree and Texas RCP license.
• Must have BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• NRP is preferred but not required at hire time.
• Neo-natal and pediatric experience is a plus.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and assessing needs of patients and formulating treatment plans.
• Provides respiratory therapy services defined in treatment plans.
• Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare staff.
• Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks and demonstrates creativity and latitude.
• Typically reports to a manager.
