Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the patient care team. You will assess patients and initiate, modify, and discontinue respiratory therapy for critically ill individuals, and analyze data to guide therapy and recommendations to physicians.

Required: Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy with state licensure; 3–5 years of experience; CPR certification preferred. Onsite at 2014 Washington Street with Mass General Brigham system-wide benefits.

Job Summary

Acts as an active member of the patient care team to provide clinical patient care assessment, initiation, modification, and discontinuance of therapeutic respiratory care procedures to critically ill patients. Analyzes and evaluates clinical patient data to determine the appropriate therapy or interventions and makes recommendations on patient care plans to the medical staff.

• Skills in patient and family education, including ability to develop and deliver educational materials and programs that help parents and caregivers understand respiratory care needs and techniques.
• Ability to problem solve and think critically to assess complex situations and make informed decisions about patient care.
• Ability to keep accurate records and documentation.
