Job summary

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Colorado is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for two night shifts, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a 36‑month commitment. You will provide direct care to patients across ages in various settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality respiratory therapy services.

Required credentials include CRTT or RRT, Colorado license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and a willingness to work nights with differential.

Qualifications

• Certification as CRTT or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from an accredited program.
• Colorado license required or eligible.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications current.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome.

• Provide direct care to inpatients and outpatients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Serve patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, in a variety of care settings, including acute care, urgent care, sub‑acute care, sleep labs, and clinics.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and advanced knowledge to deliver high‑quality, independent care.
• Perform a wide range of respiratory therapy duties, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes and overall wellness.

Summary

To excel in this role, you’ll need the following skills, experience, and attributes:

Qualifications

• Demonstrated high level of detail orientation to ensure accuracy in care and documentation.
• Proficiency in state‑of‑the‑art office technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools.
• Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, tact, discretion, and integrity.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively, with adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Strong resourcefulness and problem‑solving skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Education And Experience

• Certification or registry as a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from a recognized college or technical school.
• One year of experience preferred but not required—new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations

• Maintain a current, active license as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Colorado.
• Maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• New hires without NRP certification will be highly encouraged to complete the next available course and obtain certification within one year of employment.
