Job summary

The Laurels of Milford is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and care for guests with breathing disorders in a senior-care setting. You will lead respiratory care, operate equipment, and maintain accurate records for a 9 patient vent unit with multiple vents and AVAPS capability.

The role emphasizes life-support procedures, quality control, and direct patient-focused care within a team of caregiving professionals.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year accredited Respiratory Program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be a certified Respiratory Therapist and licensed in the state.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, monitors and maintains life support systems.
• Monitors outcomes of various respiratory care procedures.
• Establishes and maintains respiratory equipment par-level and required maintenance records.
• Conducts quality control monitoring. Provides routine clinical care, including ventilator checks, tracheostomy care, suctioning, resident evaluations, care plan development, respiratory medication delivery, supply changes, and equipment management.

You will be responsible for all respiratory care procedures, maintain records, select and assemble and operate equipment. 9 patient vent unit. 4 vents/5 AVAPS
