Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform routine and intensive respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures in a hospital setting in McAllen, TX. You will maintain ventilator and life support equipment and provide routine patient assessments.

Required are a Texas RRT license, current BLS and ACLS, with PALS and NRP to be obtained within six months of hire. A commitment to compliance and quality patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Program and NBRC eligibility.
• Texas licensure as RRT required with current license.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Maintain ACLS certification; obtain PALS and NRP within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and intensive respiratory therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Maintains respiratory equipment and ensures ventilator and life support equipment are operable.
• Provides routine respiratory patient assessments and monitoring.
• Performs some invasive procedures such as ABGs and assists with intubation.
