Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist for Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. Per Diem position with night shifts (7pm–7am) and hours varying by department needs.

You will assist physicians, deliver neonatal to geriatric respiratory care, assess patients, document treatments, and educate patients and staff. Required IL licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, a CoARC-approved respiratory therapy education program, and CPR (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• License: Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required
• Education: Graduate of a CoARC approved school of respiratory therapy, required
• Certification: CPR (BLS) issued by American Heart Association, required

Responsibilities

• Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according to hospital policy and procedures
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
• Provide patient and staff education

Hourly Pay Range

$33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
