Job summary

Dartmouth Health’s Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem shifts. The role requires clinical assessment, plan development with providers, and readiness for emergencies across critical care and outpatient settings.

You will participate in rapid responses, airway management including intubations, and operate mechanical ventilation, arterial access, and bronchoscopy support, plus pulmonary function testing in outpatient labs as needed.

Qualifications

• A.S. Degree in Respiratory Care from an AHA accredited program.
• CRT (RRT preferred).
• Current New Hampshire license.
• BLS and ACLS.
• NRP within 1 year of hire; PALS preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans with providers.
• Provide emergency care including assisting with intubations and codes.
• Attend rapid responses and traumas; support C-sections.
• In critical care, manage ventilation and arterial access; perform overnight oximetry.
• In outpatient, perform pulmonary function testing and rotate through the lab.

Job description

Within the scope of practice, the respiratory therapist will assess patients and develop treatment plans in conjunction with the provider to address specific patient needs. Provide emergency care including assisting with or performing intubations, attending rapid responses/codes, attending C-sections and responding to traumas. In the critical care setting, you will attend multidisciplinary rounds, initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, perform arterial sampling including arterial puncture and arterial lines, conduct overnight oximetry studies, and assist with bronchoscopies. In the outpatient setting, you will be trained to perform pulmonary function testing and rotate through the lab as needed.

Requirements

• A.S. Degree in Respiratory Care from an AHA accredited program
• CRT (RRT preferred)
• Current New Hampshire license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP within 1 year of hire
• PALS preferred
• Experience in EPIC preferred
