We're hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the Respiratory Care Services department for a Full-Time, Day shift for the University of Chicago Medicine with the Pediatrics Team at our main campus in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL. Note: Our open positions will be supporting the Pediatric patient populations. We also have Student opportunities available for individuals currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program.

Job Summary
In this role, the (RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care treatments, procedures, and protocols under the direct supervision of department leadership and physician for the pediatric department. Provides for patient assessment to determine cardiopulmonary status, implement appropriate patient care protocols, or to maintain/improve cardiopulmonary hemodynamic status. Initiates and maintains emergent and non-emergent non-invasive ventilation and invasive mechanical ventilation per department policies and protocols.
