Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to coordinate and deliver high-quality respiratory care. You will perform diagnostic tests, monitor ventilation, and support patient care in a specialized cardiovascular and spine care environment.

The position requires NBRC-RRT and state RRT/RCP credentials, with BCLS obtained within 30 days of starting. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within the Medical City Healthcare network.

Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC-RRT)
Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner credential (RRT/RCP-State)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

Perform and document patient assessment including breath sounds and airway patency.
Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery and aerosolized meds.
Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate/monitor mechanical ventilation.
Monitor patient responses and intervene if needed; notify provider as appropriate.
Assist transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
Respond to emergent situations and maintain airway integrity during resuscitation.
