Job summary

DMC Receiving Hospital in Detroit, MI, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide therapy across the care continuum in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.

You will perform assessments, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and mentor staff and students. Candidates must have NBRC RRT, BCLS, and Michigan licensure; ACLS preferred. The role includes a $25k sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program; Associate degree or equivalent.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC.
• BCLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Michigan state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across the continuum of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and care teams to develop optimal cardiopulmonary care plans.
• Perform patient assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy.
• Instruct staff and students in respiratory care procedures and supervise as in-charge therapist.
