Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, WY. The role provides respiratory care and diagnostic testing for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency and surgical areas.

The position requires an RRT, NBRC certification, and current licensure, with on-call nights, weekends, and holidays in a full-time schedule. Compensation includes a sign-on/relocation option and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• RRT certification by Oct 1, 2017 for incumbents as of Oct 1, 2015.
• Current license in state practiced as required by state law.
• Banner Registry requires at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing per physician orders.
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilators with clinical adjustments.
• Assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment and circuitry.
• Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing.
• Assess patients and modify therapy based on clinical condition.
• Collaborate with care team to plan and adjust care.
• May supervise department staff.
• Independently provide respiratory care across various health care settings.
• RRTs may be assigned to different areas within the system.
