Job summary

ScionHealth in Lander, WY seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for Full-Time Days to deliver respiratory care across all ages. The role collaborates with the care team to follow clinical policies and standards while maintaining patient-centered care.

Requirements include CRT or RRT eligibility, NBRC credentials, and BLS/ACLS (PALS/NRP per policy). Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available. Take part in quality improvement and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program leading to CRT or RRT eligibility.
• Current state license or certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• CR T or RRT credential NBRC; BLS and ACLS within facility policy; PALS/NRP per policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapy procedures including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and suctioning.
• Assists with emergency interventions, including manual resuscitation and code response.
• Manages and monitors mechanical ventilators, including parameter adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Obtains and interprets arterial blood gases and communicates results.
• Conducts pulmonary function testing and 12-lead EKGs; identifies life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Maintains and calibrates respiratory equipment per infection control guidelines.
• Documents care delivered, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Assists with quality improvement activities and departmental clerical functions.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
