Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals in Addison, TX is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care across the cardiovascular and spine specialty. You will be part of a collaborative team that emphasizes safe ventilation and thoughtful care planning.

Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC-RRT) required.
State-licensed RRT/RCP eligibility or active state credential.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

Perform and document patient assessment including breath sounds and airway patency.
Administer respiratory therapies: oxygen, aerosolized meds, chest physio.
Assist with artificial airways; initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation.
Monitor therapeutic response and notify providers as needed.
Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
Respond to emergent situations and ensure airway integrity during resuscitation.
