Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. This role involves administering respiratory therapies, oxygen, and monitoring patient breathing in a hospital setting.

The position requires Connecticut state licensure in Respiratory Care, with an Associates degree at minimum and a Bachelor's degree preferred from an AMA-approved program. First Shift as Needed, in Pulmonary Function Lab and Rehab.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred from AMA approved Respiratory program.
• Connecticut state license in Respiratory Care required.
• Ability to function as a self-directed team member.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapy to assist, control and/or improve patients' breathing.
• Operates oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, ventilators and resuscitation devices.
• Performs pulmonary diagnostic procedures and related duties as assigned.
