Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's MidState Medical Center in Meriden, CT, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide therapy and care to patients.

This full-time position requires three 12-hour shifts per week, with every third weekend and a 36-hour schedule, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

The role emphasizes collaboration in a comprehensive healthcare network committed to high-quality care and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's preferred from AMA approved program.
• Must be able to function as a self-directed team member.
• Must hold Connecticut state license.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy to assist, control, and/or improve patients' breathing.
• Administer oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, etc., and ventilatory support.
• Perform pulmonary diagnostics and assessments and related duties as assigned.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner administers respiratory therapy to assist, control and/or improve patients' breathing. Administers oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, resuscitation devices, etc. Performs pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments and performs additional related duties as assigned or necessary.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred from an AMA approved Respiratory program.
• Ability to function as a self-directed team member.
• Must be Connecticut state licensed.
