Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX is seeking a respiratory care professional to provide safe, competent, and ethical respiratory and cardiology care to patients. You will also provide leadership and direction for staff with lesser training.

Qualifications include CRT, RRT, Texas license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS optional. NRP may be required within 6 months if NICU work is involved. The role supports a range of services in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree or preferably a four-year baccalaureate degree in Respiratory Care from a CoARC/CAAHEP-accredited program.
• CRT required and RRT certification with NBRC required.
• Texas licensure to practice respiratory care required; BLS required; ACLS/PALS optional; NRP within 6 months if NICU work anticipated.

• A minimum of a two (2) year Associate degree or preferably a four (4) year baccalaureate degree from a school or training program by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), or its predecessor the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE), or accredited by the Commission on Acrreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
• CRT required
• RRT certification with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• Licensed to practice respiratory care in state of Texas required
• BLS required
• ACLS optional
• PALS optional
• NRP required within 6 months of hire, if working in NICU
