Job summary

Trinity Health MI in Michigan is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and respiratory therapies. You will document treatment results, manage orders, and contribute to quality improvement alongside training of new staff.

The role requires an accredited Respiratory Therapy degree, state licensure, and NBRC RRT credential. Night shift with a 36-hour workweek accompanies competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have completed Level I and II therapist competency requirements.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure by the State of Michigan.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC.
  • At least six (6) months of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform therapist-driven protocols, patient assessments, administration of medications, and evaluate patient response to therapies.
  • Documents performance and results of therapies (therapeutic and diagnostic) according to policy and procedures (inclusive of NICU transport).
  • Accurately maintains the Order Entry and Charging system related to services rendered.
  • Assists with data collection and projects for CQI and the Respiratory Care Department process improvement plan.
  • Supervises and assists in the training of new employees and students.
  • Cleans, assembles, maintains and troubleshoots all Respiratory Care Department equipment while utilizing supplies and resources in a cost-effective manner.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – Participates as a member of the CPR team.

Position Purpose

Performs patient assessments and procedures related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

What the Registered Respiratory Therapist Will Do

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – Participates as a member of the CPR team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
