Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, and monitoring patients on mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing and documenting patient assessments, including breath sounds and airway status.
• Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Assisting with airway placements and managing mechanical ventilation.
• Monitoring patient responses and notifying providers of changes.
• Transporting ventilator-dependent patients and responding to emergencies to ensure airway and ventilation safety.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of start.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of start.
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
• RRT/RCP credential.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
