Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center (DH-YRMC) in Prescott Valley seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled RT team delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care. You will manage ventilators, oxygen therapies, and related treatments, while developing and executing patient care plans with urgency and calm under pressure.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, document findings, and ensure accurate billing and proper medication handling.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program.
Must hold and maintain AZ Board of Respiratory Care Examiners License.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from NBRC.
American Heart Association ACLS, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and PALS.
NRP within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Performs a full range of basic respiratory care for all patient populations.
Performs and documents a complete patient assessment, including vital signs, breath sounds, cough, and respiratory pattern with each ventilator system check and treatment.
Checks all equipment and respiratory modalities, maintains alarms, and documents accurately.
Performs ABGs utilizing two patient identifiers, handles blood specimens, reports critical values, and maintains blood gas lab logs.
Accurately completes patient billing.
Charges, labels, scans, and discards medications.
