Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital - Davis is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based, compassionate care across clinical departments. You will partner with physicians and staff to uphold the highest standards of respiratory excellence and patient-centered outcomes, performing essential procedures and thorough patient assessments daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP) required.
• CRT NBRC certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification current or within 6 months of hire (1 year for KS locations).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification current or within 6 months of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification current or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers respiratory care procedures to patients in general, acute, critical care, and emergency areas.
• Performs therapeutic modalities including patient monitoring, medication delivery, ventilation management, expansion therapy, and bronchial hygiene.
• Assists in CPR and emergency care by providing airway maintenance and cardiac support as needed.
• Performs diagnostic testing including ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry.
• Develops care plans from thorough assessments via protocol criteria or physician orders.
• Provides patient and family education.
