Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified, Per Diem, Registered Respiratory Therapist in Somerville, NJ.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Valid NJ State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
2. RRT certification by National Board for Respiratory Care
3. BLS certification and ACLS certification
4. NRP certification required within 60 days of hire

Scheduling Requirements:

1. Night Shift
2. Per Diem Schedule

Essential Functions:

1. The Respiratory Therapist, Registered provides therapeutic, supportive, and diagnostic respiratory services and care to all RWJBH patients.
2. Administers respiratory care as ordered by the physician and documents required information in patient records.
3. Performs arterial puncture analysis and reporting of sample results, interprets results relative to acid base balance and ventilatory status.
4. Performs daily preventative maintenance and quality control for blood gas analyzers and co-oximeter.
5. Sets up, operates, monitors and troubleshoots oxygen delivery devices, pulse oximeters, end tidal CO2 monitors and ventilators.
