Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Canton is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/PRN Tier 2 to join our critical illness recovery team in Canton, OH. The role offers a $53.00 per hour rate, a $5,000 sign-on bonus for night shifts, and a night schedule of 7 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m.; a minimum of two 12-hour shifts weekly is expected. You will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care for complex conditions, perform endotracheal tube procedures, and engage in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire (Agency RT must have ACLS on first shift).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $53.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Night Shift - 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
• Minimum of two 12-hour shifts per week
• One major and one minor holiday per year
• At least 3 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling cycle

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
