Job summary

Henry Community Health in New Castle, IN is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver day-to-day respiratory care across patient ages. The role includes independent therapy procedures and equipment maintenance, following physician orders and performing pulmonary function tests.

Applicants must be Indiana-licensed, hold BLS, and preferably bring two years of experience. This on-site position emphasizes patient care and teamwork in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, writing and following complex medical instructions with understanding of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment.
• Completion of an AMA-accredited respiratory therapy program or equivalent.
• Current Indiana State Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day respiratory care to hospital patients of all ages under supervision.
• Perform respiratory therapy procedures independently and assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Receive and execute verbal orders from physicians for respiratory treatments.
• Perform pulmonary function testing on patients.

• Perform respiratory therapy and procedures independently in addition to general cleaning and maintenance of related equipment.
• Receive verbal orders from physicians for respiratory treatments according to specific policies.
• Perform pulmonary function testing on patients.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow complicated medical instructions and have a thorough understanding of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment
• Requires completion of an accredited (AMA) school in respiratory therapy or its equivalency
• Requires licensure by the State of Indiana as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Requires BLS certification
• Prefer two years experience
