Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care, using advanced respiratory technology and collaborating with a skilled care team. The role emphasizes safety, patient education, and rapid response to clinical changes.

You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation, and support newborns when needed, with opportunities for professional growth and mentorship within a trusted hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required for Respiratory Therapist role.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date.
• PALS certification or NBRC-RRT license must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status through focused exams and interpretation of breath sounds.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway care, including invasive and noninvasive support.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and support newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain and transport respiratory equipment, ensuring infection prevention standards.
