Job summary

Roshal Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Corpus Christi for PRN, W2 hourly employment with a flexible schedule and full benefits. The role focuses on spirometry, patient education, and coordinated care with physicians and nurses.

As part of Roshal Health, you will perform pulmonary function testing, administer treatments such as albuterol, and monitor patient progress, with emphasis on safety and high-quality care in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Licensure required: Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or RRT.
• NBRC certification and/or CPFT preferred.
• AARC Office Spirometry Certificate also accepted.
• Must be available on occasional weekdays - no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Pulmonary Function Screenings: Use spirometry equipment to perform comprehensive pulmonary function tests (PFTs) on patients to assess lung function and diagnose respiratory conditions.
• Patient Education: Provide clear instructions to patients regarding the preparation for and execution of pulmonary function tests. Educate patients on inhaler/nebulizer use and albuterol administration.
• Administer Respiratory Treatments: Deliver albuterol for post pulmonary function examination.
• Diagnostic Testing: Conduct pre- and post-pulmonary function testing and measure lung capacity.
• Patient Monitoring and Follow-Up: Regularly assess patient progress and adjust therapies; monitor equipment and comfort.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Communicate with pulmonologist and team members.
• Patient Safety and Care: Ensure a safe, clean environment and maintain safety protocols.
