Job summary

Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our day shift team on a PRN basis. The role involves comprehensive respiratory care for inpatients, including assessments, therapies, oxygen, and airway management, in a rehabilitation setting, working with physicians, nursing, and other disciplines.

Requires graduation from an accredited RT program, Virginia license, NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT), and AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Previous respiratory therapy clinical experience or equivalent training.
• At least one year of respiratory therapy experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or similar complex setting.
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy education program.
• Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Virginia.
• Current NBRC credential (RRT or CRT).
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to inpatients.
• Perform respiratory assessments, monitoring, treatments, and therapies.
• Support safe transitions of care and collaborate with the transdisciplinary team.
