Job summary

The Respiratory Therapist / Lab (PRN) at Townsen Memorial Hospital provides respiratory care and laboratory support across hospital patients. You will follow physician orders, maintain equipment, and participate in rounds to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory care.
• NBRC RRT credential is required or in progress.
• Active Texas license as Respiratory Therapist.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatments per orders and guidelines.
• Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
• Review orders, initiate protocols, and participate in rounds.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory and lab equipment.
• Perform lab testing with quality checks and calibrations.
• Verify lab orders/results and request re-draws when needed.
• Assist in orienting new staff and training others.
